About me: 

Jacob studied composition for three years with Robert Saxton at Worcester College, Oxford University, where he was awarded a number of prizes and scholarships. He is now a student of Silvina Milstein's at King's College, London, for which he holds a RVW Trust postgraduate award. Jacob has participated in workshops led by Sir Harrison Birtwistle, John McCabe, the BBC Singers and Philip Cashian. He has composed music for Lontano, Oxford University's Ensemble Isis, Worcester College Choir and Susan Milan's Debussy Trio. His music is available through Top Wind, London, and by contacting him directly. Jacob's recent compositions include: 2006 Setting of Blake’s Sick Rose for mixed choir 2006 Four Cinquains for Baritone and Piano 2007 Study Number One for piano 2007 Anthem on Worcester College Grace for mixed choir 2007 Blake Settings for Baritone and ensemble 2007 Piece for Flute and Piano 2008 Say What You Mean for clarinet and electronics 2008 Duo for violin and viola 2009 Conversation Stations for quintet 2009 CycleSeven (seven studies after the days of the week) for solo flute 2009 Two Triptychs for flute, viola and harp (dedicated to Susan Milan and the Debussy Trio). Currently working on a piece for Lontano.
